Regular Council Meeting <br />2-18-08 <br />Page 3 <br />for a save we had in Gates Mills. They will be honored at the end of March during a Cleveland <br />Clinic function. Chief Mohr will pass along additional information once received. <br />FINANCE - Philliu Brett <br />Mr. Brett is working on the 2008 budget with the Mayor. It should be in Council's packages by <br />Friday. Tonight we have a resolution in support of the Cuyahoga County Commercial <br />Redevelopment Fund. <br />POLICE - Chief Dearden <br />Chief Dearden reported that the SPAN Council of Governments met last week. The Mayors <br />approved the 2008 budget for SPAN. On the agenda tonight is a request for $14,000.00 <br />representing our share of the SPAN dues. . <br />PARKS & RECREATION - Bill Thomas <br />There was nothing to report <br />ARCHITECT - Ron DiNardo <br />There was nothing to report. <br />HUMAN SERVICES - Eunice Kalina <br />Mrs. Kalina reported that they held two luncheons last week, one for the senior card group which <br />the Mayfield Jazz Band volunteered to perform at. They were absolutely wonderful. Dr. Price <br />spoke at the luncheon about the levy on the ballot in March which we are all aware of. Mrs. <br />Kalina had so many comments about this being the best party we ever had. The other luncheon <br />was on Friday. It was our annual Thank You luncheon for Village employees. It was extremely <br />well attended. We had good reports on that also. Our senior speaker series continues. Thank you <br />to Debbie Thomas for putting it on the marquee. We are having speakers, physicians and health <br />care organizations, two Wednesdays a month. We are booked to June. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Activities Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that a meeting will be scheduled for March. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli reported that Architectural Review Board met on <br />the 14 . They discussed two items, a renovation of a home on Glenview which was approved <br />and a change in the masonry on the first level of the Hilton Garden. <br />Beautification- A meeting was held on January 28th. The Committee discussed Village plantings <br />for the spring with Eagle Creek. Hopefullz a representative from Eagle Creek will be at the next <br />meeting scheduled for Monday, March lOt .
