Regular Council Meeting <br />7-21-08 <br />Page 3 <br />bids for the 2008 asphalt street maintenance program and the 2008 street striping program which <br />is on the agenda this evening. <br />LEGAL DEPARTMENT - Joe Diemert <br />There was nothing to report. <br />FIRE - Chief Mohr <br />There was nothing to report. <br />FINANCE - Philip Brett <br />There was nothing to report. <br />POLICE - Chief Dearden <br />There was nothing to report. <br />PARKS & RECREATION - Sill Thomas <br />Mr. Thomas reported that they are forever grateful to the following organizations that helped out <br />for the summer camps this summer: St. Francis Church and School, St. John's Lutheran Church, <br />Mayfield Heights Community Park, City of Mayfield Heights, Gilmour Academy, Willoughby <br />Hills Friends Church and St. Paschal's Church. Without their support, it would have been very <br />difficult to have the summer camps. He will be preparing thank you letters to all of them. The <br />Fall brochure is being completed for mailing in early to mid-August. <br />ARCHITECT - Ron DiNardo <br />Mr. DiNardo reported that the pre-bid meeting for the police station is August 6th. Bids are due <br />by August 14th. Mr. Marrelli stated that we may try to move that back to August 12th Mr. <br />DiNardo indicated that we should start getting some numbers for the new police station by mid- <br />August. <br />HUMAN SERVICES - Eunice Kalina <br />Mrs. Kalina reported that they had a trip today to Hartville. They went in conjunction with <br />Schnurmann Lutheran House. They had a full bus. They could not have gotten one more person <br />on there. A good time was had by all. We have increased attendance at our Monday game day <br />afternoons. We have been having three tables of Mahjong all of a sudden which is nice in <br />addition to the other people who come to play other games. Computer classes are going well and <br />the senior speaker series is also going well.
