Regular Council Meeting <br />7-21-08 <br />Page 5 <br />M.A.R.C. - M.A.R.C. met on July lOth. Of items to note are: Punt, Pass and Kick Event is <br />Sunday September 21St at 12:00. The Art Show is the same weekend at the High School. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt reported that Ordinance Review met on July <br />8. They discussed Chapter 905 of the Ordinance relative to excavation permit fees. They also <br />discussed Chapter 1381 which has to do with dish antennas. There will be some recommended <br />changes at the next meeting. <br />Planning and Zonin? - Mr. Marquardt reported that Planning and Zoning met on July 17th and <br />discussed gas and oil wells. They discussed alternative plans to try to get some better control <br />over the situation. Details will be in the Minutes. Jim Farmer will talk to Joe Diemert to get <br />language drafted relative to those ideas. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie reported that as a result of the inclement weather, there were <br />many fair weather runners and walkers. They had 75 participate on a very dreary day. The <br />Committee will r`eview how to get more publicity, and to try to get more business and residents <br />participating in the run/walk. Our Annual Suminer Sizzler was held yesterday. They had about <br />400 swimmers which is a very fine turnout. They were from surrounding communities. The next <br />Board meeting is September 17th. <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Planniniz Develonment Committee - There is a meeting scheduled for tomorrow night at 7:00 <br />p.m. Cal Caminati will be giving a presentation and providing a question/answer session. <br />Information & TechnoloLy - Council President Buckholtz said there has been no meeting, but <br />they are presently scheduling one. Mr. Metzung brought to his attention the problems with the <br />website. It needs to be updated. We have some people interested in doing that. Mayor Rinker <br />added that they seem pretty sharp too. Council President Buckholtz welcomed anyone with <br />ideas to let the committee know. We will be setting up a meeting soon. Mr. Saponaro added that <br />there is a definite need for something in terms of the e-mail. He cannot use his e-mail due to the <br />volume of spam that comes in. It is not worth wading through 40 mails of garbage. in order to get <br />a few legitimate e-mails. It has been a real problem. Council President Buckholtz is glad Mr. <br />Saponaro brought that up. They are discussing the website, but they would also like to discuss <br />the e-mail situation. <br />Records Commission - Mrs. Mills reported that the Commission met on June 25th. On the 26tn, <br />the?y went to a seminar about document retention and destruction. Their next meeting is July <br />30` . The work on this Committee is going well. <br />Health Care Task Force - Mrs. Mills reported that a meeting has not been scheduled. <br />
