Regular Council Meeting <br />8-18-08 <br />Page 12 <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie reported that pool attendance has really gone up this year over <br />last year. In July last year, they had 8,466 use the people. This year there was 12,358 people <br />who used the pool. The pool is being used and is a great asset for the Village. The triatholon <br />took place yesterday. They had 150 participants. It was a huge success. The next Recreation <br />Board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 17th in Civic Hall. <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Planning Development Committee - There was no report. <br />Information & Technology - A meeting is scheduled for tomorrow to discuss the Village's <br />website. Jeff Thomas and Ted Esborn put together information for the Committee's review. <br />Mayor Rinker stated that he spoke with Ted Esborn this evening. With Mr. Buckholtz's absence, <br />Mayor Rinker requested that the meeting be delayed for a week. There are additional questions. <br />Between Ted and Jeff, the information can be refined. Additional specs need to be gathered. <br />Ted Esborn will take care of advising people of the meeting being cancelled. A new date will be <br />scheduled shortly. <br />Records Commission - Mrs. Mills reported that the Commission met on July 30th. A <br />representative from Iron Mountain gave a presentation. The Commission is considering <br />scheduling Community Shred Day in the near future. This should be interesting. Other <br />communities are doing that. The next meeting is scheduled for August 27tn <br />Health Care Task Force - Mrs. Mills stated there is no report. Ms. Calta is working on this. <br />OI,D BUSINESS <br />OFEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state <br />their name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items under <br />"Old Business" only. <br />Allison Leone <br />6824 Glenview <br />Ms. Leone asked when Council will be speaking again about this continuance relative to the oil <br />and gas wells, will it be at the September 2 °d Caucus?
