Regular Council Meeting 8-18-08 Page 12 Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie reported that pool attendance has really gone up this year over last year. In July last year, they had 8,466 use the people. This year there was 12,358 people who used the pool. The pool is being used and is a great asset for the Village. The triatholon took place yesterday. They had 150 participants. It was a huge success. The next Recreation Board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 17th in Civic Hall. SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: Planning Development Committee - There was no report. Information & Technology - A meeting is scheduled for tomorrow to discuss the Village's website. Jeff Thomas and Ted Esborn put together information for the Committee's review. Mayor Rinker stated that he spoke with Ted Esborn this evening. With Mr. Buckholtz's absence, Mayor Rinker requested that the meeting be delayed for a week. There are additional questions. Between Ted and Jeff, the information can be refined. Additional specs need to be gathered. Ted Esborn will take care of advising people of the meeting being cancelled. A new date will be scheduled shortly. Records Commission - Mrs. Mills reported that the Commission met on July 30th. A representative from Iron Mountain gave a presentation. The Commission is considering scheduling Community Shred Day in the near future. This should be interesting. Other communities are doing that. The next meeting is scheduled for August 27tn Health Care Task Force - Mrs. Mills stated there is no report. Ms. Calta is working on this. OI,D BUSINESS OFEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state their name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items under "Old Business" only.
