Regular Council Meeting <br />8-18-08 <br />Page 3 <br />Gordon Nichols <br />6460 North Aintree Drive <br />Mr. Nichols stated that at the last meeting he brought up about the manholes breaking up through <br />the sidewalks. He would like to know what has' been done. Mr. Marrie stated that Mr. Metzung <br />was going to look into this and talk to Mr. Nichols about this, but he is not here this evening. <br />Mr. Marrie will call him in the morning and bring that subject up and have him call. Mr. Nichols <br />stated that the Cuyahoga Sanitary Engineers are willing to come out, but no one has called him <br />yet. Mr. Marrie will talk to Doug tomorrow. He is not sure whether he did or did not. Mayor <br />Rinker added that he has not gotten any updates. He does not know what the status is. We will <br />follow through. Mayor Rinker knows that after the meeting, Doug spoke with Mr. Nichols. <br />Doug will follow through. He is out of town this week, but we will follow up with him. <br />He would not just drop it. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES : <br />Reizular Council Meeting - Julv 21, 2008 <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to approve the minutes as written. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Minutes Approved <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER: <br />Mayor Rinker noticed in the paper that we have a native son who is in the Olympics in freestyle <br />wrestling, Andy Hrovat. His mother lives right down on Wilson Mills. They have a nice article <br />in the paper with the President and his mother beaming at everyone. This is nice. We should <br />acknowledge this on the record. Debbie Thomas put up a nice little good luck best wishes to <br />Andy on the marquee. He will be wrestling this week. <br />Relative to Thinsolutions, Mayor Rinker reported that Jeff Thomas prepared a memo at his <br />request. He does not know if Council got a copy of it. In sum, the State Auditor's office has <br />delegated to us the responsibility of coming up with a managed data backup and disaster <br />recovery program. Jeff has checked with a number of different companies. They are all pretty <br />comparable in what they charge. It is a mandate from the State. Thinsolutions has been our <br />current tech advisor on these things. The recommendation is that we stick with Thinsolutions, <br />but Mayor Rinker wanted Council to be aware that at least he has scoped this out.
