Regular Council Meeting Minutes <br />11-17-08 <br />Page 6 <br />Citizen's Advisory Board - Mr. Marrie reported that they will be meeting tomorrow night. <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Kalina reported that they met on November 4th and talked about <br />their programs and assessed them. Their next meeting is December 2°d. On the agenda this <br />evening for vote is the Silver Alert which was started by Twinsburg to alert communities of <br />seniors who are missing. <br />Drainage & Infrastructure/Stormwater Mgt. - There was no meeting. There is no report. <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Cinco reported that Safety and Service met on the 3?d. At that time <br />they left the oil and gas well discussion to P&Z. They are meeting this Thursday. Safety and <br />Service also discussed the EMS billing, the road salt and the rubbish recycling contract. <br />Finance Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that the Finance Committee met this evening. They <br />had 15 items on the agenda. Some of the things were not discussed, Ordinance 2008-25 and <br />2008-26 and Ordinances 2008-39 through 2008-42. We would like to clarify something on the <br />item regarding Bremec's Greenhouse for the purchase of trees for the underpass. We would like <br />it to say "Highland Road underpass" for better clarification. We are deferring any action on the <br />Eagle Creek proposal until there is a meeting. Joe will take care of that. The rest of the items <br />were all approved. <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Mills reported that they just finished quilting one raffle quilt. They are <br />putting the next raffle quilt on for 2010. Their last meeting was a week ago Wednesday. <br />Everyone missed a good night. It was pie night. Wonderful pies. Their guest speaker was Marge <br />Comella, one of their historical members and also a Village resident. She spoke on first ladies. <br />Mrs. Mills told the Mayor he would have enjoyed it. It was really a good program. She is a very <br />good speaker. She is an ex-history teacher. They are going to have her back again because she <br />only got through half of the Presidents' wives. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - There was nothing to report. <br />1VI.A.R.C. - Dr. Parker reported that M.A.R.C. met on November 6th. Of note was that the <br />M.A.R.C. Art Show did come down. Interestingly, it is the only art show in the Mayfield <br />branch. The next meeting is December 4tn <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt reported that Ordinance Review met on <br />Tuesday the l lt . There are four proposed ordinances on the agenda tonight. Ordinance Review <br />recommends those go three readings. John is reviewing all the Codes and bringing them up to <br />date and pulling out the various fees and insurance charges and bonds and consolidating them <br />into tables. You will see a lot of these coming out and we will be presenting them as they get <br />reviewed and updated. These are just the first four. Mayor Rinker asked if this has any bearing <br />on what Walter Drane is doing. We do that on auto pilot each year. Should we be changing that <br />at all? Mrs. Mills said if we are going to do the three readings, it would go into 2009. Mr. <br />Maizelli replied that right now there are probably 2 dozen ordinances that need to be looked at. <br />Some of them have not been used in 30 years. Mayor Rinker asked how much Walter Drane has
