Organizational Meeting Minutes <br />1-5-04 <br />Page 3 <br />Council President Buckholtz said thank you very much. I am happy and proud to serve again in <br />this role. It has been very productive and both educational and rewarding. Thank you. <br />Council President Buckholtz said my first order of business is to open up the floor for <br />nominations for Council Pro Tem. Do we have such a nomination? <br />Mr. Marquardt nominated Stephan Parker for Council President Pro Tem. <br />Mrs. Mills seconded the motion. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked, do we have any other nominations? <br />There were none and nominations were closed. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Dr. Stephan Parker to serve as 2004 Council President Pro Tem. <br />Mayor Rinker administered the oath of office to William Buckholtz as Council President. <br />Mayor Rinker administered the oath of office to Dr. Stephan Parker as Council President Pro <br />Tem. <br />Council President Buckholtz said thank you. That concludes this portion of the meeting. <br />AMENDMENT TO AGENDA <br />Council President Buckholtz requested a motion to amend the agenda for a housekeeping <br />Ordinance submitted by Chief Dearden. <br />Mr. Marrie, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to amend the agenda to include Ordinance <br />No. 2004-01. <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 2004-01, entitled; "An emergency Ordinance ainending the <br />Codified Ordinances of the Village of Mayfield adopting the new State Traffic Code as set forth <br />in S.B. 123 and H.B. 490." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />After Mr. Diemert read the title, he stated the document which was supplied to us by the Walter <br />H. Drane Company today will be attached as Exhibit A to the Ordinance. <br />Council President Buckholtz requested motions. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring a <br />resolution to be read on three separate occasions.
