Regular Council Meeting <br />1-26-04 <br />Page 6 <br />? need an executive session for ordinances 2004-07 and 2004-08-items 23 and 24; 25, 26, 27, 28, <br />and 29 for approval. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Saponaro said there is an event on February 21, 9 a.m. at <br />Landerhaven; a speaker will speak on the PERS system and how it works. Anyone who is <br />interested in going should tell Donna so she can make reservations. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Mills said newsletters have been sent out with our spring programs. <br />Our fund raisers are the Ice Cream Social in September, Quilt Show in October and Turkey <br />Raffle in November. Three tours are scheduled-some garden clubs from the area, our DAR <br />luncheon and a garden club flower show are planned for the coming season. We were without <br />gas for a while today; the gas company came and lit the boiler. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Saponaro said the next meeting is February Sth at 7 p.m. at Center School in the <br />Teacher's Lounge. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt said no meeting, no report. <br />Planniniz and Zonin? - Mr. Marquardt said Planning and Zoning had a regular meeting on <br />January 5. They discussed lot split and consolidation at the Georgian Center. There was a <br />Workshop meeting January 15. The item on the agenda was the BME Investments proposed lot. <br />split for a residential development in the Upper 40s. That will be on the agenda for the next <br />regular meeting. <br />Parks & Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie said they met January 21. They evaluated the <br />Christmas Party and Santa Ride. The board is still in favor of altering the route each year so the <br />same people won't wind up at the end of the ride each year. It was also suggested we offer a Self <br />Defense Workshop for Women. It is being checked into. Mr. Thomas gave a report on all the <br />spring/summer programs that we will have this year. The next meeting will be February 18. <br />Sevver Liaison Committee - Council President Buckholtz said there was no report. <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />S.O.M. Center Road Widenins Committee - Mr. Metzung said work continues. They are <br />working on the storm sewers on the east side of S.O.M. on the north hal£ They are continuing <br />with putting in the box culverts in for the creek underpass and for the pedestrian underpass. <br />They've begaii the water line on the south of Highland Road. They will continue to work with as <br />many crews as they had during the summer-about 4 crews. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked the date that Mr. Metzung had mentioned before that they are <br />shooting for completion. <br />Mayor Rinker said this is the first we've gotten the date that they have; they are also preparing a <br />` flow chart-a gant chart which is going to be rather sizeable so as soon as we get that, we will <br />convert that so we can put it on the web-as soon as we get the visuals.
