Regular Council Minutes
3-15-04
Page 14
Mrs. Mills said we are requesting first reading on this.
Resolution No. 2004-08 was given first reading.
OPEN PORTION - 3-minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state
their name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items under
"New Business" only.
There were no comments.
ANY OTHER MATTER THAT MAY COME BEFORE COUNCIL
Council President Buckholtz said a question for either Mr. Metzung or Mr. Samac on the
freezing gas lines in the Worton Park area. I don't know if it has happened in other parts of the
Village or something that we've run into before.
Mr. Samac said it has happened before in the Worton Park before. Quite frankly, I wasn't aware that this occurred recently.
Mr. Metzung said I'd seen your [addressing Council President Buckholtz] email.
Council President Buckholtz suggested Ralph Vara be a spokesperson.
Mayor Rinker said you should have some kind of report from East Ohio Gas.
Council President Buckholtz questioned if this was an appropriate item for discussion by
Drainage & Infrastructure.
It was agreed that Mr. Metzung will contact Ty McBee, the Village's representative to East Ohio
Gas, and report back to Council.
Mr. Samac said he has had a couple of recent calls about water outages, just very small outages
lasting anywhere from a few seconds to a minute causing air to get into the lines. We will try to
track this down with the Water Company to see what is causing that.
Mr. Marquardt asked if there is a planning coming out about the maintenance and repairs of
roadways.
?

Mr. Metzung said I will have a report. We will be looking at what will be pretty much the same
as we did last year up in the Aintree area; we will be looking at Patsy's neighborhood, your [Mr.
