Regular Council Minutes <br />3-15-04 <br />Page 3 <br />January lst which kind of explains that slight drop over last year of 2.1% under the prior year. <br />Revenue from our largest employer is up 46% over last year but again that entails that extra <br />payment. February saw a record distribution for income taxes. Finally on the last page, a <br />Councilperson contacted me and he wasn't able to chart out where a particular thing in the <br />Mayor's letter of transmittal came from. What I've done is created a matrix so across the left is <br />each fund that is there and over the top is the particular area. He explained how to read the chart. <br />Mr. Brett said he wanted to give this brief overview before next Monday. <br />Parks & Recreation: Mr. Thomas said the MBA completed its Sth season on Saturday. In 1999 <br />when we started the program we had 14 teams, 135 players and two travel teams and 28 <br />volunteer coaches. For the 2003-04 season we had 26 teams, 220 players, 46 volunteer coaches <br />and 5 travel teams. The program is going very well; we have maxed out the facility. Winter <br />activities are coming to a close; we have about 2 weeks left. Registration is underway for spring <br />and summer programs. We started registration on March lst for Teen Adventure Camp; we have <br />48 registered now-our maximum is 50 for the first session. We have 42 signed up for the <br />second session. <br />STANI)ING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Activities fbmmittee - Mrs. Roman said the committee was pleased to have so many attend the <br />Appreciation Dinner. The committee did not meet in March. There will be a meeting in April. <br />Architectural Review Soard - Mr. Samac said at our last Architectural Review Board <br />Meeting we approved a house addition to a residence on Worton Park Drive. That was the extent <br />of ARB's ofFicial meeting. We also (at that meeting) discussed and clarified some points <br />regarding the Carney proposal. It was submitted and put on hold recently. <br />Board of Anneals - Mr. Samac said we had one case where we granted a side-yard variance for <br />residents to expand the garage 4' into the side yard to facilitate access from their handicapped- <br />equipped van. <br />Cemeterv - Mr. Saponaro said there is no report. <br />Citizen's Advisorv Board - Mr. Saponaro said they will meet on Tuesday, Apri127. Mrs. <br />Roman to advise Councilmembers the time and location of the ineeting. <br />Commission on Aginiz - Mrs. Mills read the report from Mrs. Kalina, attached. <br />Drainage & Infrastructure/Stormwater Mgt.- Mrs. Cinco said our first meeting will be <br />Wednesday, Apri121 at 8 a.m. at the Service Department upstairs. <br />Safetv and Service - Mrs. Cinco said the committee met March 8. They discussed the telephone <br />systein as in regards to the Mayfield United Methodist Church. We will put that with our other <br />committee per Chief Mohr's request. We discussed rubbish bids and toters. We recommended <br />approval for purchase of the lawn mowers and fertilization of Village properties and we <br />discussed at length senior transportation.
