Regular Council Minutes <br />4-26-04 <br />Page 23 <br />First ReadinS of Resolution No. 2004-12, entitled; "An emergency resolution expressing <br />opposition to House Bi11208 and the Retainage Reform Effort." Introduced by Mayor Rinker <br />and Council as a Whole. <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring a <br />resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2004-08. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />There were no comments. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Council President Buckholtz said the only thing left on the agenda is the Issue One Application <br />and it would be a motion to support the grant application of the Cleveland Metroparks. <br />Issue One Applications: <br />A motion in support of the grant application of Cleveland Metroparks to acquire <br />and manage the Beecher Brook Forest (adjacent to North Chagrin Reservation) <br />PLEDGING A$50,000 contribution by Mayfield Village UPON APPROVAL OF <br />THEIR LOAN APPLICATION AND AUTHORIZING Mayor Rinker to write <br />letter of support to NRAC (Natural Resources Advisory Council ) <br />Council President Buckholtz read the motion as written above (he added the words in capital <br />letters to the motion listed previously on the agenda.) <br />Mr. Saponaro seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion in support of the grant application of <br />Cleveland Metroparks to acquire and manage the Beecher Brook Forest (adjacent to North <br />Chagrin Reservation) pledging A$50,000 contribution by Mayfield Village upon approval of <br />their loan application and authorizing Mayor Rinker to write letter of support to NRAC (Natural <br />Resources Advisory Council.) <br />Mr. Marquardt asked, does this have to be tonight? <br />Mayor Rinker said only because in the last 2 weeks we've been talking to them. <br />Mr. Marquardt said but we're not clear on what the letter is.
