Regular Council Minutes
5-17-04
Page 22 Mr. Marquardt said, and that property will go to Gates Mills Land Conservancy?

Council President Buckholtz said correct. To be undeveloped and protected, is that correct?
Tom Ouintrell, Vice President of the Gates Mills Land Conservalicy, said this is a 3-way deal
with the Land Conservancy, Metroparks and they will make a contribution, Metroparks; for their
contribute we will have a conservation easement on the 10 acres between there will be kept in
the natural condition.
Council President Buckholtz asked, so this would be basically part of the Metroparks-owned by
Gates Mills Conservancy? Mr. Quintrell replied, Gates Mills Conservancy would be the title owner but we have a
conservation easement with Metroparks that says you'll keep it in its natural condition and it will
be treated as a park and they will maintain [it] if it has to be. Otherwise, it is kept in its natural
condition and that ties into the 17 acres that they are buying; this also ties into the entranceway
off Wilson Mills that is already there into the Metroparks. Council President Buckholtz asked, other questions?

There were no comments.
ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Buckholtz, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Marrie, Mrs. Mills
NAYS: Mr. Marquardt and Dr. Parker
ABSTAIN: Mr. Saponaro
Motion Carried
Ordinance Enacted
(effective in 30 days)
Mr. Diemert said it will be 30 days before it goes into effect but that shouldn't matter with the
application.
Council President Buckholtz thanked Mayor White and Mr. Quintrell for coming.
First Readiny_ of Resolution 2004-13, entitled; "A Resolution authorizing the Mayor and
Finance Director to seek Financial Assistarice from the State Issue I Clean Ohio Program for
funding of the Beecher's Brook Outfall Project." Mr. Diemert said it is an application so you can just make a motion to adopt.

Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2004-13.
Council President Buckholtz addressed Mr. Brett and asked, Phil, this is part of the Falkner
property--
?i
?

Mr. Brett said yes--that we are trying to get funding for the last phase of it.
