Regular Council Minutes <br />6-28-04 <br />Page 9 <br />repair of Wilson Mills Road and we need to add on to the agenda: the street striping and also the <br />replacement for Steve [Mr. Hovancsek] and the pool chairs--we have to put the dollar amount for <br />the pool chairs which is not to exceed $5,000. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Saponaro said there was no report and later requested Mrs. <br />Roman remove this committee from the monthly committee reports. [Note: Following the <br />meeting, Council President Buckholtz authorized this.] <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Mills said on June 7, we served 271adies from the DAR a luncheon at <br />the Historical House. Today we took the day off and went to some quilt shops in Ashtabula. We <br />are now gearing up for the Quilt Show and also for the Ice Cream Social. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Saponaro said there was no meeting in June. The next meeting is Thursday, <br />July lst at Parkview Pool. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt said no meeting; no report. <br />Plannin2 and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt said Planning & Zoning met on June 7`h at the Regular <br />Meeting. On the agenda, the committee voted to recommend the Progressive landscape plan for <br />their new building and voted to recommend a Conditional Use Permit for Mt. Vernon Square at <br />6700 Beta to allow medical offices to be placed in this building. There was also a Planning & <br />Zoning Workshop session on June 17. At that meeting we discussed a Conditional Use Permit <br />for a new Assisted Living Facility at 730 S.O.M. Center Road in front of Georgian Center. We <br />discussed a new hotel and restaurant at 700 Beta Drive. We were presented with some parking <br />ordinance comparisons which will be further discussed and we discussed issues relative to the <br />Village Master Plan at that meeting. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie reported we normally don't meet during the summer; our next <br />meeting will be September 22. <br />Sewer Liaison Committee - Council President Buckholtz said we have no report. <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />S.O.M. Widening Committee - Mrs. Mills deferred to Mr. Metzung. <br />Mr. Metzung said the contractor has been working on earth work down near White Road <br />preparing for the bike path that will run along White Road and cleaning up that was generally <br />kind of an ugly mess and grading it for drainage. They've also been doing some small slab areas <br />near white and the entrance to the Metroparks. They've laid their stone for the base of the- <br />what is Phase 2-the concrete pour-they will be bringing in their trimmer-I see they put up <br />their string today-so they are bringing in their trimmer to prepare that to grade so that they can <br />come back and actually place the concrete. I am going to guess the concrete is at least 2-3 weeks <br />away and I only say that because I know where their paver is in Mentor still and they aren't <br />going to break that down and bring that to Mayfield Village until they are done there so they are <br />?` - at least 3 weeks away for that. They hope to begin temporary pavement at the south end of the <br />project and moving traffic over so that they can begin to do some sewer work. Right now, they <br />are waiting on Dominion to complete their work so that the gas lines can be moved out of the
