Regular Council Minutes <br />8-16-04 <br />Page 3 <br />I am signing the Fiscal Officer's Certificate. <br />William Thomas (Parks & Recreation) <br />Mr. Thomas said hopefully everyone received the Fall Parks & Recreation Brochure. <br />Registration is underway for fall programs. On August 22, our annual Youth and Family <br />Triatholon will be held. That is also the last day for our 6th season at Parkview Pool. It has been a <br />very cool summer. We had one day of 90° weather; in 2002 we had 14 days of 90° . On August <br />23, our first Dog Day at Parkview Pool will be held. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Activities Committee -Mrs. Roman said the Singing Angels are ~oing to be in concert at the <br />Civic Center for our first concert there on Saturday, December l It . We will have more <br />information shortly. We have 2 more concerts to go and then we will be planning the Tree <br />Lighting Ceremony. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli said Architectural Review Board met at the end of <br />July and had one issue which was the Chiancone residence. They are adding onto the back and <br />side and redoing the front. It was approved. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Marrelli said the Board of Appeals met on July 20 and approved a sign <br />for Deacon's Chrysler Plymouth on Wilson Mills Road, denied the Koren/Cabot appeal of the <br />Building Commissioner to review a lot split and denied a parking variance for the Corned Beef <br />Shop on S.O.M. Center. <br />Cemetery -There was no report. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board -There was no report. <br />Commission on Aging -Mrs. Cinco read the report from Mrs. Kalina. (attached) <br />Drainage & Infrastructure/Stormwater Mgt. -Mrs. Cinco said we are going to have a <br />meeting on August 30 in the back room [Conference Room] at 8 a.m. <br />Safety and Service & Finance Committee -Mrs. Cinco said we met tonight. Items 1-5 were <br />recommended for approval; #6 was retracted and Chief Mohr will have some information on that <br />when we get into it; 7, 8, 9 were approved; we had discussion on Ordinance 2004-33 and <br />Ordinance 2004-35 were definitely recommended for approval. We recommended approval for <br />the engineer and recommended approval of the payment to Mayfield City Schools pending <br />arrival of the check from Adelphia. <br />Historical Society -Council President Buckholtz said they are doing some wonderful work on <br />the historical house. There was no report. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Thomas said they will meet in September. <br />
