Regular Council Minutes
11-15-04
Page 4
their construction completed on Saturday as agreed upon by Mr. Marrelli's Department. They
will begin on Wednesday to utilize the Civic Center on Wednesday evening. They plan to begin
Sunday morning use in approximately mid-January. Tomorrow, they will deliver the security
deposit check as agreed as well as prorated Wednesday rent for that first month. The property is
ready; everybody knows where they are going and we are pleased with the work done there at
this point.
Fire
Chief Mohr noted his request to sell the 1976 mini pumper. It has served us well but we can no
longer get parts for this vehicle; it is surplus. I would like to try to sell it on Ebay and sealed bid.
Finance
Mr. Brett commented on Mr. Thomas' daughters taking first place in the State Division High
School Girls' Soccer Tournament.
Parks & Recreation
Mr. Thomas said over 225 sixth, seventh and eighth graders attended our Halloween Teen
Wildcat Event. We had games, a DJ, karaoke, prizes; it was a great event. We have 267 players
in the MBA program and 40 players in travel basketball. The program is going well; there is a
draft tomorrow night. The winter issue of the Parks & Recreation brochure has come out. We are
trying to accommodate our residents and are now offering MasterCard and Visa over the phone.
STANDIl®TG COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Activities Committee
Mrs. Roman reported tickets are still available for the Singing Angels concert on December 11.
The Committee is also preparing for the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 5 at 7
p.m. They will make a request for the caterer for the Appreciation Dinner next month.
Architectural Review Board
Mr. Marrelli said the Architectural Review Board met November 11 and discussed three issues:
a sign package for Charter One Bank (who were bought out by the Royal Bank of Scotland who
wants to use green instead of blue) was conditionally approved; and architectural review of a
new single-family home was done that would be located on the Koren-Cabot lot split (the Beech
Hill/Wilson Mills area.)
Board of Appeals
Mr. Marrelli said there was no meeting; no report.
Cemetery
Mr. Saponaro said work was completed on thinning the trees and eliminating the scrub brush.
The sign is being repaired again (it falls every time there are winds.)
