Regular Council Minutes
12-6-04
Page 4
Village Hall-they are awaiting final approval to cross Wilson Mills-across on that pole in
front of the Civic Center and then enter the building. They anticipate completion Thursday.
• Philip Brett (Finance)
Mr. Brett said just the ordinances and resolutions we have on the agenda this evening. I can
entertain any questions.
There were none.
• William Thomas (Parks & Recreation)
Mr. Thomas said we have a couple of events during December: our annual Santa ride and party
that will be held this Saturday, December 11 in this room. The fire truck will leave the station at
about 10:25 and turn left and go down to St. Bartholomew's for the first stop. It is a little
different because we rotate the schedule each year. The Singing Angels' concert will be held the
same day. Donna, is there anything you want to add to that?
Mrs. Roman said tickets are still available. We will be selling tickets at the door (unless we are
sold out by then) but we still have 80-some tickets so I would imagine they'd be available at the
door.
Mr. Thomas spoke about other upcoming activities: The Christmas Tree Adventure where
families can pick up a Christmas tree by taking the Cuyahoga train ride to Peninsula and then
take..a.trolley from there to Heritage Farm and pick up their tree and head back--on December 12.
We have the Santa Claus Express for families and grandparents-they take the children and visit
Santa on the train; the Wetlands Committee who will hold the Winter Solstice on December
21-they will have a bonfire and hot dogs and a variety of activities at the picnic shelter. We will
have a blood drive on the 29th in the Community Room.
STA1~iDING COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Activities Committee -Mrs. Roman said the Activities Committee will meet early Saturday
morning to get ready for the Singing Angels' concert. We were pleased with the turnout at the
tree lighting-it was less this year because we had only the Center School students singing but
everybody had a nice time.
Mayor Rinker added the brass ensemble from MHS performed as well.
Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli said there was no meeting; no report.
Board of Appeals - Mr. Marrelli said there was no meeting; no report.
Cemetery - Mr. Saponaro said no report.
Citizen's Advisory Board - Mr. Saponaro said Citizen's Advisory met on November 22. I was
not present; Mr. Jochum was there and Mr. Metzung. We just re-evaluated how the committee
worked this year. Everyone was happy with the direction that we're going. We got a full report

i
~J
