Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council February 27, 2006 Page 14 First Reading of Ordinance No. 2006-02, entitled "An emergency ordinance creating certain positions and compensation therefore relevant to the summer camp program." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. ROLL CALL: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Rules Suspended Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2006-02. Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. There was no discussion. ROLL CALL: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Ordinance Enacted First Reading of Ordinance No. 2006-03, "An emergency ordinance establishing the Parkview Swimming Pool Employees Salary for the 2006 Season." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. ROLL CALL: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Rules Suspended Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2006-03. Council President Buckholtz asked if this was the same as last year. Mr. Thomas indicated that we might need to look at additional compensation at the end of the season. We are going to be losing a lot of staff. We try to encourage them to stay through Labor Day. Council President Buckholtz asked if we are going to try and attempt the same thing as last year with the extended hours and days. Mr. Thomas indicated that we will and that we might have to increase the amount a little bit due to this and as an incentive. ROLL CALL: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Ordinance Enacted 7 ?
