Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />February 27, 2006 <br />Page 5 <br />Mrs. Mills asked that Mrs. Betsa add the Beautification Committee to this list of Standing <br />Committee reports. Mrs. Betsa will revise all further agendas to include the Beautification <br />Committee. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli reported Architectural Review Board met on <br />Februaxy 23r . There were two issues. A house addition on Joyce Road was approved. A house <br />addition on Meadowwood was approved. <br />Board of Anneals - Mr. Marrelli indicated that there was no meeting, so there is no report. <br />Cemeterv - Mrs. Mills indicated that there was no meeting, so there is no report. <br />Citizen's Advisorv Board - Mr. Saponaro reported that the Committee met last Monday. New <br />members were welcomed. Minutes will be prepaxed and distributed to all members of Council <br />and Department Heads. Roles and responsibilities as a Committee were discussed. A big item <br />which came up was that in the past couple of weeks, it seems like J&J Refuse has been falling <br />off the wagon with their pick-ups. That was the chief complaint. A lot of clean up of glass, <br />especially in the Hickory Hill and Bramblewood/Wildwood axea was a major concern. <br />Commission on Agin? - Mrs. Mills read the report from Eunice Kalina, Human Services <br />Director, attached. <br />Drainage & Infrastructure/Stormwater Mgt. - Mrs. Cinco reported that we need to get started <br />on this. Mr. Cappello indicated that we are doing Hanover. It is almost done, he is doing final <br />grading now. As far as the other sma11 projects, they are basically on hold until the weather gets <br />better. Mrs. Cinco indicated that usually we have a flier going out to residents regarding <br />applications. Mrs. Cinco will follow through on this. Mr. Buckholtz explained to the audience <br />that the fliers would explain our drainage and infrastructure program and advise residents that <br />they can apply for the projects. <br />Safetv and Service - Mrs. Cinco reported that Safety and Service met on February 6th. At that <br />time, we discussed for the fire department the generator for the Civic Center and selling the Jaws <br />of Life. For the service department, we discussed the street lighting on SOM Center Road and <br />the fertilizer bid. For parks and recreation, we discussed the six player benches along with the <br />ordinance for the employees for the swimming pool and summer. A number of items are on our <br />agenda tonight. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Saponaro reported that the Committee discussed and approved 14 <br />items coming before Council. Six Ordinances were discussed. 2005-18 was deferred. 2006-04 <br />is being recommended for first read. There are four recommendations for approval for the other <br />ordinances. <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Mills read the report, a copy of which is attached to these Minutes.
