Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
June 12, 2006
Page 4
regarding this. From what we are understanding, not many people came back and advised of the
need, but that does not mean we can't still investigate and see if we can come up with something.
Mr. Buckholtz stated that it does not mean the people don't want it. Sometimes surveys don't tell the
real picture. Mr. Saponaro indicated that it is on our radar screen, we are just trying to figure out what
to do to accommodate people somehow.
Ms. Berlin also asked if there is any way the traffic can be slowed down a little bit on S.O.M.
Center south of Wilson Mills. She would like to know if radar can be put in. Chief Dearden reported
that radar is run consistently on S.O.M. both using Glenview Drive and the driveway to South
Berkeley. Our officers are up there maintaining traffic control.
Mr. Buckholtz asked if we owned the speedboard. Mr. Thomas indicated that we do. Chief
Dearden indicated that we put it in different areas.
CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES :
Regular Council Meeting - May 22, 2006
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to approve the minutes.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Mrs. Mills and Mr. Marrie abstained Minutes Approved
(Unable to attend 5/22 meeting)
COMMENTS FROIVI MAYOR RINKER
Mayor Rinker was unable to attend the meeting this evening due to a last minute
scheduling conflict.
COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT BILL BUCKHOLTZ
Mr. Buckholtz asked Mr. Marrie to come forward.
