Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />August 28, 2006 <br />Page 9 <br />ENGINEERING -Tom Cappello <br />There was no report. <br />PROPERTY MANAGER - Lloyd Chapman <br />Mr. Chapman reported that we acquired one property at 6827 Thornapple. They moved <br />out on the 16th <br />LEGAL DEPARTMENT - Mr. Diemert <br />There was no report. <br />FIRE - Chief Mohr <br />Chief Mohr reported that Bob Jamieson who has been with their staff since 1966 will <br />retire as of the 1St of September. 40 years of service to the community. They are planning a <br />clambake in his honor at the end of September. Information will be provided shortly. <br />FINANCE -Phillip Brett <br />Mr. Brett signed the Fiscal Officer's Certificate for the three pieces of legislation for the <br />sale of upcoming bonds, one is for $4,500,000.00 for the construction of a police station, one is a <br />refinancing of the fire station, $1,890,000.00 and the third one is for the underpass at Highland <br />Road for $1,000,000.00. Mr. Brett passed them around to Council for their review. <br />POLICE -Chief Dearden <br />There was no report. <br />PARKS & RECREATION -Bill Thomas <br />There was no report. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Activities Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that there are three more summer concerts <br />scheduled. The next meeting is September 6th <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli reported that Architectural Review Board met on <br />the 24 of August. They had three items. They tabled two and approved one which was a room <br />addition on Bonnieview. <br />
