It was a cold and rainy day, but the concert went forward. Those
attending were able to enjoy the music inside of the Gazebo, sitting on chairs set up by the
Service Department. There was enough room for dancing and people took advantage of that.
All enjoyed the evening. We are asking all residents, Council people and anyone who can to meet at 9:30 at Civic
Hall and we will proceed to the center of town where we will clean up the various areas. We are
looking to do that between 9:30 to roughly around 11:30. For the students, this is great service
hours. You will get some information at the high school. We would love to see you all out here
also. The next project is scheduled on October 21St. We will be planting around 500 bulbs
around the two new signs and the Gazebo. We also talked about decorations in the Village. The
master plan prepared by Mrs. Mills will be distributed to the Beautification Committee to ensure
no overlaps. Also discussed was a possible program working with the high school in their art
department in order to design or come up with some sort of beautification or theme where we
can get the younger students as well as the high school students involved in designing banners or
things of that nature for beautification for Mayfield Village. Patty Russo is working on that. We
will have more information at our next meeting which is Monday, October 16th at 7:00 p.m.
