Regular Council Minutes 11 /20/06 Page 6 Mrs. Mills asked Mr. Buckholtz if he had a well on his property at one time that was abandoned. Mr. Buckholtz said a long time ago and it was there for a while. Mayor Rinker added that there were about six wells in their neighborhood. Mrs. Mills asked how many of those are capped. It is up to us to document those wells so that we know where they are at. Mayor Rinker said that as far as we know the older wells went through 15-20 years where it was pretty thorough. While it took them forever and a day, once they went in there, they cleaned it up very well. We had no repercussions as far as anyone's aware o£ You have an area where they are old and they happen to come across them and that could be time-consuming. We will talk to the key property owner to see if there might be some flexibility in the location of the well. We have already tried that once. If they do not want to do it because of the cost, there is not a lot of pressure we can put on them. Mrs. Mills said that at Knollwood, it does not look too bad now. Mayor Rinker said that once they are in and done, they look relatively okay. Mr. Buckholtz asked Mr. Marrelli to keep us posted after Architectural Review takes a look at it. We have no legal recourse as far as the installation and we can talk to the property owner, but it still becomes a moot point. Ms. Calta agreed. The Village and municipalities have been left with no authority. We can make sure that the state is doing its job, but that is about it. ENGINEERING -Tom Cappello Bringing everyone up to date on the sewer project, Mr. Cappello reported that they are completed with the sanitary. sewer down Metro Park. It has passed the air test. They will be installing the force main. They are halfway complete and should be done next Monday or Tuesday. They will then jump back and start the Zorn south of Metro. Mayor Rinker asked when they would be done with those two streets. Mr. Cappello said minus the driveway restoration, late January or early February and then they may install the sewer for the underpass. If not, they will jump to Highland. Mr. Metzung added that they will not be stopping for the winter season. LEGAL DEPARTMENT - Mr. Diemert There was no report. FIRE - Chief Mohr There was no report. FINANCE -Phillip Brett Mr. Brett reported that he has a list of transfers this evening that the State of Ohio would like him to do.
