Regular Council Meeting
12/18/06
Page 11
J
1
Motion to authorize an expenditure for the purchase of four police department
vehicles in an amount not to exceed $81,000.00 to an as-yet unspecified vendor
following state contract pricing.
Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mr. Marcie, made a motion to authorize an expenditure for the
purchase of four police department vehicles in an amount not to exceed $81,000.00 to an as-yet
unspecified vendor following state contract pricing.
Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion.
Chief Dearden explained that the pricing quote he had originally put together was with the
vendor that had the state contract up through October 1St. Although it was for 2007 Crown Vics,
the state went out and solicited new vendors and contracted with them on November 1St,
unbeknownst to Chief Dearden. Just as a precaution and in order to follow our requirements, he
is soliciting a price quote from the vendor that had the new state contract bid. The price that we
will pay regardless of which vendor we choose to use will match or beat the state contract price.
Council President Buckholtz indicated that this is for four vehicles. Mr. Buckholtz asked if it is
a budgeted item within the department. Chief Dearden indicated it is. Mr. Buckholtz indicated
then that it is planned for.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
Motion to authorize expenditure in an amount not to exceed $12,950.00 to The HAD
Company for geothermal thermal conductivity testing for the Mayfield Village
Police Station.

Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to authorize expenditure in an amount
not to exceed $12,950.00 to The HAD Company for geothermal thermal conductivity testing for
the Mayfield Village Police Station.
Council President Buckholtz asked if this is for the boring.
