Regular Council Meeting
2-26-07
Page 13
Drainage & Infrastructure/Stormwater Mgt. - Mrs. Cinco reported that Drainage &
Infrastructure did not meet this month. We will be meeting as soon as we can get an evaluation
of the properties which have not been able to be completed due to the weather.
Mr. Buckholtz asked about Metro Park and the flooding situation. Is that project finished now?
How many people are tied in? Mr. Cappello replied that no one is tied in as of yet. We still have
to come back and do restoration for the roadside drainage, swales and retention. Mr. Buckholtz
stated that he has been approached by a resident and asked if there is still potential for flooding.
Mr. Cappello asked who contacted him. Mr. Buckholtz indicated Braumfeld. Mrs. Cinco asked
if we have an application for them. Mr. Metzung stated that it is their front yard, this is due to
the: construction: Mr. Marquardt and Mr. Metzung went out there after the big rain. It did not
flood in their house that night, he does not think they are going to get it, because it was bad that
night. Mayor Rinker asked how long it will be temporary. Mr. Cappello stated until Spring. Mr.
MPtzung added until they can get back there and do grading. Mayor Rinker asked for an ETA.
Can we strive for something and then stick to it? It is only fair to let them know. Mr. Metzung
indicated that he is talking May, but we do not have a date certain. Mayor Rinker asked if we
could make it a point to narrow it down. If it is the same property., it is one thing for us to say it
is under control, but when they are left hanging like that, that is not good. Mr. Buckholtz
mentioned that if they are not coming back to do grading in May and in April we typically get
rain, we are going to have some problems there. Is there an interim solution? This will be
further discussed at Caucus.
Safety and Service - Mrs. Cinco reported that Safety and Service met on February 12t".
