Regular Council Meeting
4-3 0-07
Page 4
POLICE - I)etective Smith
There was no report.
PARKS & RECREATION - Sill Thomas
Mr. Thomas reported that at this time Parkview Pool is being painted by Plastall. They should
be completed by next week so we will be able to fill the pool and have it ready by June 4th. The
floodlight for our new softball parking lot is now being installed by CEI. A special thank you
goes out to the Service Department especially Jim Dolatowski for moving this project along.
Thank you to John Marrelli. John let him go with him on his inspection of Knowville, the
Holcomb's facility. They have now made a networking program with Knowville where they are
going to be able to go over to their facility for free and we will allow them to come to Parkview
Pool on occasions. They will be advertising and doing programs together.
Dr. Parker asked Mr. Thomas that when the floodlights are checked out, we make sure that they
check them to avoid any issues. Mr. Thomas stated that they were dealing with that issue today
to ensure that they do not even come out on to S.O.M. Center Road.
ARCHITECT - Ron DiNardo
There was no report.
HUMAN SERVICES - Eunice Kalina
Mrs. Kalina reported that they had a trip on April 18th to Western Reserve Historical Society for
the Diana exhibit, lunch and browsing the shops on Coventry. This was done in partnership with
Schnurmann House which worked out very well. They will probably partner with them on some
other trips. They are busy working on their 25th Anniversary Party which is May 19th. It will be
nice to see some of the Council members stop in and offer best wishes.
STANI)IloTG COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Activities Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that the committee met on April Sth . Everyone
should have received the Minutes in their packet. The Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast plans are
well underway as well as the summer concerts, Cruise Night and the Fourth of July celebration.
We still need a lot of volunteers. Please sign up. Call Mary Beth. She will be glad to put you on
the list.
Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli reported that Architectural Review Board met last
week. The only item on the agenda was Progressive's Campus III main building. The
Architectural Review Board approved the color and design of the buildings.
