Minutes of the Council Meeting
November 26, 2007
Page 6
encourage anyone on Council or department heads to please come to our January meeting if you
have any questions or concerns or if you would like to participate or have ideas of where you
would like some of the plantings, baskets or containers. We are going to be moving some of
them. We are looking at different ways of doing that. Doug Metzung has been invited to the
January meeting so that we can work with him. We are looking at products on the proposal that
will help in terms of watering and longevity. Well done. You did a great job Committee. The
next meeting is scheduled for January 28, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
Board of Appeals - There was no meeting. There is no report:
Cemetery - Mrs. Mills reported that they will be putting wreaths up on the fence for the holiday
season.
Citizen's Advisory Cotnmittee - Mr. Marrie reported that there was no meeting, so there is no
report, other than Jim Mason is home and recuperating. It is going to be a long process. We
probably will not schedule a meeting until January. As mentioned earlier, we don't want to have
one without Jim. Mr. Marrie hopes to talk to Jim this week and let him know that we will put a
meeting together. He has gone to a couple affairs where he has been involved in, not totally
participating, but attending. Hopefully Jim will be there in January. The good news is that he is
recovering, but it will be a long and slow process.
Commission on Agin? - Mrs. Mills reported that there was a meeting on November 6th to
discuss the holiday party.
Drainage & Infrastructure/Stormwater Mgt. - There was no meeting. There is no report.
Safedy and Service - Mrs. Cinco reported that Safety and Service met on Monday, November
St". At that time the Committee discussed gas wells. The meeting ran into the Finance meeting
and was discussed at Caucus at well. We also discussed the proposed contract with the
Cuyahoga County Board of Health for stormwater management and the sewer connection at 470
S.O.M.
Finance Committee - Mr. Saponaro reported that the committee met this evening. They
recommended 22 expenditures. Four ordinances, were also recommended for approval.
Historical Society - Mrs. Mills reported that the Historical Society is working with Ted Esborn
to see if we are able to perhaps receive a grant through a commission that he discovered while he
was down in Columbus. We are quite excited about that.
Hillcrest Council of Councils - There was no report.
M.A.R.C. - Dr. Parker reported that M.A.R.C. met on November 8th at 7:05 p.m. Some of the
items discussed were the Art Show which went very well. Flag football and floor hockey
programs are filled. MBA has about 270 participants. The teams are filled. The meeting was
adjourned at 7:30. The next meeting is December 6t" at 7:00 p.m. at the Board of Education.
