Minutes of the Council Meeting
December 17, 2007
Page 3
Mrs. Keptner asked, then in other words, the center was given for nothing to come in and do
the arts. Mayor Rinlcer replied that if you measure it strictly by rent, then yes, that's correct, but our
goal has been to develop an awareness within the community and get a sense of the demand in the
community for the kind of cultural arts programs we can present. Mayor Rinlcer does not expect it is
going to stay at status quo. Mrs. Keptner advised that that is the question and the answer.
Mr. Brett clarified that we have not given anything to anyone. The facility is in the
possession of Mayfield Village. Mr. Brett wanted to make sure that is clear. The way the question
was asked presupposes that there was some granting of property to another organization. That is not
the case. '
Mr. Buckholtz asked if there were any other comments. There were none.
CQNSIDERATION OF MINUTES:
Regular Council Meetiniz - November 26, 2007
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to approve the minutes as written.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Minutes Approved
COMMENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER
Mayor Rinker wished everyone Happy ChristmaHannaKwanzica and a Healthy New Year!
CONIlVIENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT BUCKHOLTZ
Mr. Buckholtz had no comments at this time.
DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS:
SERVICE - Douglas Metzung
Mr. Metzung reported that leaf season was to have been completed. However, during the last
week when the weather got decent, several landscapers showed up. Should we get the
opportunity, we will be going back out and picking up those piles. This will be the end of leaf
season after we make one final trip throughout the Village. Secondly, the pathway from Wiley
Park to Parkview has been completed. Four bridges were completed. You will notice three
because two are run together. The tunnel is open. It is a little soft at this time, but the path is
open.
