Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, December 19, 2016 ~ - <br />Page 18 <br />Mr. Diemert stated, there are, in the State of Ohio, going to be allowed production farms as <br />well.. We are waiting for the rules on all of that as well. Not- that we have much <br />cultivation, space in Mayfield Village. <br />Council. President Saponaro asked; any other discussion? <br />Mr. Jerome replied, moratorium. So if we didn't do the moratorium, this is kind of just <br />giving us some time as opposed to having to rush? <br />Mr. Diemert replied, the State has delegated to home rule municipalities the ability to even <br />reject the sale'of any of this medical marijuana within our boundaries. The moratorium is <br />in effect doing that until we have a chance to adopt our own regulations. <br />Council President Saponaro asked, anything else? <br />There were no further comments. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Ordinance Enacted <br />• . First Reading of Ordinance No. 2016-29 entitled, "An Emergency Ordinance <br />authorizing and directing the Mayor and President of Council to enter into an Agreement <br />with .911 Cellular Services, LLC for mass notification system services." Introduced by <br />Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole. (Police Department) <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to suspend the rules of .Council <br />requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Rules Suspended <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2016-29. <br />Council President Saponaro asked, discussion? This is something we want to pass so that <br />Chief, we can get this started for 2017, correct? <br />Chief Edelman replied, that's correct. And if I could, I would like to introduce Mr. Chad <br />Salashour, the President of 911 Cellular. He is a Mayfield Village resident. He is here to <br />answer any questions that any of you might have about the service. <br />Council President Saponaro asked Mr.~ Salashour to come to the podium. There may be a <br />bunch of questions or any. <br />
