Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, June 20, 2016 <br />Page 3 <br />Wherecrs, ?ve have been proud to seeDr. Fujita, receive national recobnition, whether it <br />is as a member of tlle United States Manufacturiiig Council, or sitting with the First <br />Lady at the State of the Uilion Address; and <br />Tf'hereas, we have seeil a govei-nor, lieutenant govemor, and U.S. Senator come to <br />Mayf eld Village just to visit QED; and <br />Wlzei•eas, Mayfield Village aiid QED.have forged a strong relationship over the last <br />decade, working together in various ways to achieve results that are mutually beneficial; <br />and <br />Wher-eus, Mayfield Village is the town that has the good fortune to be called QED's <br />hoine, and it has been an honor to see firsthand the journey that the Company has made. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCL.4INIED, that I, Mayor Brenda T. Bodnar, offer <br />heartfelt congratulations froin inyself and from all of Mayfield Village on ten years of <br />spectacular success. <br />- Congratulations and Best of Luck to Ted Esborn <br />Mayor Bodnar stated, I would like to take a bittersweet inoinent and express my personal thanks <br />and the thanlcs of Mayfield Village to our Economic Development Director, Mr. Ted Esborn, <br />who most of you lcnow will be leaving us after this week. Ted, you have been with us since 2007 <br />and you have basically blazed the trail of economic development here. Thanlcs in large part to <br />your efforts, we have a 94% occupancy rate on Beta Drive and also largely to your credit you <br />have been insti-uinental in bringing in hundreds of thousands of dollars in grant inoney to our <br />coirununity. Most importantly, I think tluough your personable and professional demeanor, you <br />have gained the respect and ti-ust of many businesses here in Mayf'ield Village. Ted, it's hard to <br />see you go, but we wish you every success in the future and we are very confident that you are <br />going to achieve that success. Thaiik you so much. <br />Mr. Esborn stated, I just wanted to say that more than anything I ain grateful to Mayfield Village. <br />When I came here, I was a year out of college and I got this wonderful opportunity to learn and <br />grow here. It is absolutely one of a kind. I wanted to thank everyone. <br />- Letter of Corrunendation from State Auditor's office <br />Mayor Bodnar stated, I have a kudos that is in order to all of our staff. There's no names <br />inentioned in the letter but I thinlc Mary Beth, the letter was probably in large part about you, but <br />I received a letter from Mark Altier, Chief Legal Counsel to the State Auditor, commending our <br />staff on the "cordial welcome and kind assistance" that was afforded him when he came to <br />present a public records training course here. It's a great honor to get a positive ]etter like this <br />delivered to my home address. I appreciate all you have doiie Mary Beth and everyone here who <br />facilitated the course.that this gentleman came to teach. Tllanic you very n7uch.
