Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, April 15, 2013 <br />Page 6 <br />STANDING COMNIITTEE REPORTS: <br />,Aetrvities Comtnxttee Ivlrs Mills reporced,, at our last meeting w.e got: a11 the ends tied up for <br />tixe Mother's D'ay 1'ancake:_Breakfast? on #he 12th of 1Viay. We are _worlcing on Cruise Night for <br />J,une 9and tlie F4eworks Celebrafion on°.June 29r''. Thay tiaVe met°vYith American Fireworks to <br />make sure everything is in order. Did you hear anything about that Bill? Everybody is on board <br />with it? <br />Mr. Thomasand Acting Chief Shrefler replied, yes. <br />-Architectural-_Review:_Boar-d,- Mr. Marrelli reported, the Architectural Review Board met last <br />week. We reviewed a sign for a business across the street and tabled the issue for more <br />i.nformation. <br />Board of Anneals - Mr. Marrelli stated, there was no meeti.ng. There is no report. <br />Cemeterv - Mrs. Mills stated, there is no report. <br />Citizen's Advisorv Board - Mr. Marrie stated there was no meeting last month. We are meeting <br />on the 29 , just ahead of the Mayor's and Ron's Town Hall meeting. <br />Safetv and Service - Mrs. Cinco reported, Safety and Service met on April lst. All of the items <br />are on the agenda tonight. Dealing with the Service Department, the purchase of sodium <br />chloride, the sidewalk program on Aintree North and the new one ton cab and chassis from <br />Valley Ford. In the Fire Department, we had discussion on the outdoor warning sirens. At that <br />time the Coxnmittee felt that we would table that item because we felt that Code Red was more <br />than serving the purpose. Everyone has been happy with that. We discussed the Phase II <br />Stormwater Management Program. We were also updated on needed repairs to the CommuniTy <br />Room. <br />Einance. Committee -Mr. Marquardt reported, Finance Committee met this evening prior to this <br />meeting: Theie 'were 8 items on the agenda which are also on the agenda for Council. They <br />were all recommended for approval. <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Mills reported, last week we had Millridge School with a total of 104 <br />students come through for the tour. Dr. Kelly, Superintendent of Schools was there on Friday and <br />tourecl with the children. He is very enthusiastic. He loves our house. I think he wants to move <br />in. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mrs. Mills reported, I attended the Hillcrest Council of <br />Councils meeting. Mohr Partners were there. They talked about the Regional Economic <br />Development. They have been hired by Highland Heights. They also had someone speaking on <br />Ohio Ethics and someone from the Board of Elections. I will pass this on so Mary Beth can look <br />at this. Anyone who wants to look at these handouts are welcome to. They will be in her office.
