Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council Monday, April 16, 2012 Page 2 . Administration of Oath of Office to Patrol Officer Matt Hocevar Mayor Rinker stated, we have an officer who has gone from full-time patrol officer to Sergeant and we have now a part-time officer who's filling that vacancy full-time. The oath of office was administered to Matt Hocevar as Patrol Officer for Mayfield Village. Council President Buckholtz stated, we are going to take a little brief intermission. We will resume the Council meeting in about 5 minutes. Council took a break for refreshments at 8:10 p.m. Council reconvened at 8:20 p.m. OPEN PORTION 5-minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state their name and address. Remarks bv A1 Muhle - Mayfield Township Historical Society Al Muhle Chesterland, Ohio My name is A1 Muhle, I live in Chesterland, but I reside at 606 SOM Center Road. I am a permanent fxture. I am here on behalf of the Township Historical Society to thank Council, Mr. President, Mayor Rinker, for your contribution. Presently, we are going through our 350 school students. That's going to happen three sessions in April and two schools in May. But along with what we do there, which I am House Cha.irman and Yard Chaiiman, Jack of all trades. We had a couple issues. One of them was, this winter we had 12 windows on the second floor that were not in very good condition. We had them sanded. We had them stained. We took care of those so we did not lose any woodwork in the house. This summer we will have the front of the house painted, and two sides of the roofing. This past week, Tuesday, we had a leak on the roof. It happened because last year the ice built up and then it thawed. It pulled off a couple shingles and a flashing. So one side of the foyer as you enter the house on the right side was painted last summer. It needed to be painted, so I had them paint it. I saw bleeding coming through the sections of the siding. I had the painter back and he said Al, there's something wrong with the roof up there. I can't get up on the roof. I came upon a roofer. He came over, went up there and he said, Al, there are shingles missing up here and the flashing needs repair. He said I have the material in the truck. He said, I can repair it. My brother and I can come up here. It's an hour job. We can do it. I asked him a price. He gave me the price. I made an executive decision. Fix it. Now. I just don't want that building to deteriorate. With your contribution, each year, we can keep the place looking nice.
