Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, August 20, 2012 <br />Page 5 <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie stated, there was no meeting. There is no report. Our next <br />meeting is September 19th at 7:00 here in this room. <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Mills reported, the next meeting is September 18t' at 11:00 at the <br />Senior Services office building in the back of the Community Room. <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Information & Technology - There was no meeting. There is no report. <br />Records Commission - Mrs. Mills reported the next meeting is Wednesday, September 19t' at <br />12:00 here in the Civic Center in this room. <br />Communitv and Economic Development Committee - Mr. Delguyd reported, the Committee <br />met this evening and discussed goals and standards. There is nothing to report in concrete terms <br />as of yet, but as it comes through, I will have a report. <br />There was no old business to discuss. <br />Motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $14,228.00 to Baumann <br />Enterprises, Inc. for removal of extra asbestos found at Village Hall and Police <br />Station located at 6621 Wilson Milis Road. (Change order - Demolition, Asbestos <br />Abatement and Site Clearing of 6621 Wilson Mills Road) (Straw Vote approved <br />8/14/12) <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of <br />$14,228.00 to Baumann Enterprises, Inc. for removal of extra asbestos found at Village Hall and <br />Police Station located at 6621 Wilson Mills Road. (Change order - Demolition, Asbestos <br />Abatement and Site Clearing of 6621 Wilson Mills Road) (Straw Vote approved 8/14/12) <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. <br />Mr. Metzung reported, during the abatement of the asbestos in the building, they went through <br />the building and tore out some of the material off the walls. They found asbestos covered pipe. <br />They found a subfloor that had been laid over. When they took the tile off, the tile had asbestos <br />in it. When they took that off, there was plywood. When they peeled back the plywood, they <br />found a whole other floor that had asbestos tiles. That had to be removed. The ceiling of the <br />mechanics bay also had materials that needed to be abated.
