Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, October 15, 2012
Page 4
12''. These are monthly routine foot care such as toenail cutting, treatment of corns, calluses and ingrown toenails. The next clinic will be November 16'h. Appointments will be made between
1:00 and 3:00 p.m. We will be holding our lunch and movie program in cooperation with
Community Partnership. Our first program will be this Wednesday, October 17th. We are
excited about showing the movie in the auditorium. It will be on our screen. I have gotten a
preview of it. It is phenomenal. You feel like you are in a movie theatre. Fifteen residents
entered the leaf raking drawing contest. Volunteers from Gates Mills Horticulture Center, the
Cub Scout Pack 789 and Cornerstone Church will rake leaves for the winning contestant. Two
hundred twenty five people have opted in to the snow removal program. The deadline to opt out
is December 31St
Mrs. Cinco asked, how does that compare in numbers to other years?
Mr. Thomas replied comparable. Last year I think it was about the same. In fact, I think we
have a little bit more than last year. It's going really well.
With regard to the Senior Snow Removal Program, Mr. Delguyd asked, there's no risk that we
have more people opt in than what we contracted for?
Mr. Thomas replied, I don't think so.
ARCHITECT - Ron Dinardo
There was no report.
PLANNING DEPARTMENT - Ted Esborn
Mr. Esborn reported, I am preparing the Village's 2013 application for DOPWIC funding for a
sanitary sewer on Eastgate and Meadowood. It's the same projects we applied for funding for
last yeaz. We did not get funding for the program last year. This leads to Resolution 2012-19
which is on the agenda. I can ta.lk more about it at that time.
ADMINISTRATION - Diane Wolgamuth
There was no report.
STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Activities Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that the Activities Committee met on September
18 . At that time, we discussed the Fourth of July Celebration and Summer Concerts. We
evaluated them: Our Tree Lighting is December 2°d at 7:00 p.m. and the Menorah Lighting will
be December 9?' at 7:00 p.m. We will also have the Singing Angels here on the 15t'. Our next
meeting will be January 1 S`h. We also discussed the fireworks for next year.
