Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, October 15, 2012 <br />Page 5 <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli reported, Architectural Review Board met last <br />Thursday. We approved a garage for a resident on Beech Hill and a storage building for the <br />Wildcat Stadium. <br />Board of Anneals - Mr. Marrelli reported, Board of Appeals met last Tuesday. We had one <br />issue which was the setback for the sign for the Library. That's going to be adjacent to the road. <br />That was approved. <br />Cemeterv - Mrs. Mills thanked Jean Britton, Carole Marrie and Tom Marrie. They planted 250 <br />spring bulbs at the Cemetery this past week. <br />Citizen's Advisorv Board - Mr. Marrie reported, Citizen's Advisory Board met on September <br />24 . Mayor Rinker gave the group a general overview of the Greenway Corridor. We received <br />almost a million dollars from NOACA for this project. He then led the group on a tour on the <br />trail to the Library worksite, the wetland park and also The Grove and gave the history of the <br />whole project as well as what may come in the future. Also, congratulations to Shirley Jay on <br />receiving the Citizen of the Year Award. Our next meeting is on October 22"a Safetv and Service - Mrs. Cinco reported Safety and Service met on Monday, October lst. At <br />that time, we discussed with the Police Department the new police vehicles and equipment, the <br />new motorcycle, and the fireworks for 2013. All of these items are on the agenda tonight to be <br />voted on by Council. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Marrie reported, we met this evening at 7:30. We had 7 items, one <br />ordinance and two resolutions on the agenda. All were approved. They are all on the agenda this <br />evening for a vote. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Mills reported, the Historical Society had their 14th biannual Quilt <br />Show here over the weekend. About 250 people attended. We had very positive comments as far <br />as the show and also about the Art Show because in the auditorium at 1:00 on Saturday, we had a <br />program. We had about 50 people in the audience there. They got to traverse through the <br />building. They were just amazed at what we have here. We have a lot of feathers in our caps <br />here. We should be proud of what we have here in the building. We spent some money here <br />rejuvenating this building and bringing it up to what it is today but it's very very well worth it. <br />More than worth it. I have to, thank everyone for their help in making the program so successful. <br />The Service Department always gives us such great cooperation. We really appreciate it. <br /> <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - There was no meeting. There is no report. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Thomas reported, the M.A.R.C. Board met on October 4?' at the Board of <br />Education. Mr. Weinberg reported that the Punt, Pass and Kick which was cancelled on <br />September 8t' due to the weather had 32 participants on September 22°d. The winner of a <br />possible 10 categories will now move on to the regional competition. The M.A.R.C. Art Show <br />was held at Mayfield Library on Friday through Sunday with a reception on Sunday. There were
