Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Couneil <br />Monday, October 15, 2012 <br />Page 6 <br />91 entries. There are 36 pieces hanging. The reception was well attended by artists and guests. <br />The show will be, up at the Library until Sunday, October 28h. Mr. Weinberg also mentioned <br />that the elementary schools as well as the middle school will be going green. What that means is <br />that there will be no more fliers distributed to the elementary and middle school. It will all be e- <br />mailed to the homes of the students' parents. It will be interesting to see how that affects our <br />department. The next meeting is Thursday, November lst at 7:00 at the Board of Education. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt reported, Ordinance Review met on Tuesday, <br />October 9. There were 5 items on the agenda. T'here was a vote taken on Ordinance 90-26 to <br />rescind that ordinance on the $15 a year excise tax on lodgings which was deemed to be <br />unnecessary. T'here was a vote on Ordinance 89-45 which is disposition of property held by the <br />Police Department. That will be updated to comply with the wording on the State law. <br />Planning and Zoning - There was no meeting. There is no report. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie reported, the next meeting will be October 17t' here at the Civic <br />Center. We will discuss special events. Probably the biggest is the Halloween Parly for the <br />children on the 20'`. It will be held from 1:30 to 3:00 in the Communiiy Room. Volunteers are <br />always welcome if you have the time. The Halloween Window Painting Contest had 42 <br />participants. They painted 26 windows. We will discuss soccer and softball field rental fees and <br />the restrooms at the soccer fields and softball fields. We will be meeting on November 14th. <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Mills reported, we met on October 2nd. At that time we talked <br />about the watercolor classes and different classes and programs offered and also about the bus <br />trips. They will be planning their holiday party for December. Our next meeting will be <br />November 13'h. <br />SPECIAL COIVIlVIITTEE REPORTS: <br />Information & Technologv - There was no meeting. T'here is no report. <br />Records Commission - Mrs. Mills reported the Commission met on September 19t'. There were <br />no revisions to the retention schedule. Shred Day will be May 18, 2013 from 9:00-12:00. There <br />was one public records request from a college student who was doing a demographic project <br />where she needed to know employee information, etc. which she was given. Mary Beth will be <br />attending a session at the Ohio Historical Society on Social Media. She will be discussing that at <br />our next meeting which will be November 14t' at 12:00. <br />Communitv and Economic Develonment Committee - There was no meeting. There was no <br />report. <br />
