Regular Council Minutes <br />6-16-03 <br />Page 3 <br />Citizen's Advisory Doard - Mr. Riter said Mayor Rinker gave a presentation on S.O.M. and <br />said it will take only 45 days to fill the dip. He also said there is potential for a new police <br />station. <br />Commission on Aging -Mrs. Mills read the report from Mrs. Kalina (attached.) <br />Safety and Service -Mrs. Cinco said they met June 2 and discussed the maintenance of the ups <br />for back-up equipment for the computers. That was on the agenda for the special meeting and <br />was passed. They also discussed pagers; this was referred to Finance and is on tonight's agenda. <br />She brought information about beacon lights and Chief Mohr will look into it. Safety & Service <br />is scheduled to meet at 7:15 next month in conjunction with Finance (at 7:30.) <br />Finance Committee -Mrs. Mills said the committee met this evening. They recommended <br />items 1-7 for approval. The Finance Committee is authorizing the sale of vehicles (a11 listed <br />under item 8) to the respective bidders. Regarding item #9, they would like to entertain Pat <br />Flowers Inc. be awarded the street striping contract; items 11-14 were recommended for <br />approval. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Riter said they did not meet this quarter; no report. <br />Historical Society -Mrs. Mills said they will be on vacation the month of June; even the quilters <br />are taking off to enjoy themselves. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Marrie said there was no report. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt said there was no report. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt said they met June 2 and discussed four items. All but <br />one was recommended. Carney's item was not because it is ambiguous so it was tabled. <br />Parks & Recreation - Mr. Marrie said they met May 21 at the pool and looked at the new <br />improvements--equipment and umbrellas. The pool has been painted and the pour-it-in-place is <br />done and looks great. They will be updating the covering in the swing areas for additional <br />safety. The 14~' annual Debbie Hudacko Memorial Scholarship Run will be at 9 a.m. on July 6. <br />It will start at Parkview Pool and end there. This is a different starting point [because of the <br />S.O.M. Center Road construction.] We are looking for volunteers (like timers etc.) <br />Sewer Liaison Committee - Mr. Buckholtz said there was no report. <br />Stormwater Mgt./Drainage & Infrastructure -Mrs. Cinco said they met June 9. They had <br />one more project brought to the table which Bernie, Doug and Tom Cappello are looking into the <br />3 items on their agenda now. With the weather we are overloaded and will be meeting again. <br />Council President Buckholtz said he attended the CSU NOACA Summit last week and we have <br />done a great job so far but there is more coming down the pike. <br />
