We like to keep the hardware with them so if there is a problem they come
out and we don't run into that's a software problem, that's a hardware problem; they do both. So
we have the maintenance one way or another; we consolidate those two just in case of
emergencies like that which occurred last week.
Council President Buckholtz questioned maintenance agreements and Mr. Brett said there will be
maintenance agreements yearly. Council President Buckholtz questioned if there would be an
upgrade to the software and Mr. Brett said it is the same software. They will install it all and
make sure it is up and running; a large portion of that [cost] is installation.
Council President Buckholtz questioned what we will do with the old system and Mr. Brett said
he will recommend that the hard drives be destroyed. Mr. Brett said he does not want any
information that is on the hard drives to be given in a resale. Council President Buckholtz said I
would like to request that if it could be wiped clean--- Mr. Brett said NPR did a whole thing a
couple of months ago about wiping clean. Council President Buckholtz said he and Mr. Brett
will talk about this.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
^ A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $8,236.00 to Sanderson CMI
(for replacement of the main computer in the Finance Department including
software for the operating system)
