Caucus/Regular Council Mtg. 7-14-03 Page 15 Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Advertisement Authorized ^ A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $~h (THIS AMOUNT WAS CHANGED TO $h & changed again to & changed to $12,300 for the final figure) to Marshall Equipment Co. for an Exmark 60" riding mower; accepting the trade-in to Marshall Equipment of our 1994 Button rider mower for $2,700 Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of e "_ __ $12,300 to Marshall Equipment Co. for an Exmark 60" riding mower; accepting the trade-in to Marshall Equipment of our 1994 Button rider mower for $2,700. Council President Buckholtz asked if there was any discussion. Mr. Riter questioned if that is in the amount of $11,500 or is it not to exceed $11,500. Mrs. Cinco said not to exceed; this was also approved by Safety & Service. Mayor Rinker said the amount should be $11,700. Council President Buckholtz read the motion again: to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $11,700 to Marshall Equipment Co. for an Exmark 60" riding mower; accepting the trade-in to Marshall Equipment of our 1994 Button rider mower for $2,700. Mrs. Mills and Mrs. Cinco moved again. Council President Buckholtz asked if there were any comments. Dr. Parker said just to make it clear, the trade in will be less; in other words, we will get back the $2,700 which is apparently the way we purchased or transacted this. I didn't want it to be unclear that that $11,700 included the $2,700 trade in. Mr. Brett said Mr. Metzung is not here.... Mr. Riter asked, is it possible that this item could wait until the next meeting? Mr. Brett said I don't know whether it is going to be a net $9,570 or if it's gross. Mayor Rinker said I will not shed any light on the numbers, however, Councilman Riter, the need is there. It's not a question of whether; it's a question of how much. The number, we'll ultimately sort out. But as far as the trade-in and voting this through, I would ask that Council vote it and approve it. My apologies if we've got some glitches in the details.
