Regular & Caucus Minutes <br />8-18-03 <br />Page 7 <br />l ~, <br />Mrs. Cinco said one; that is all they bid on. <br />Mr. Brett said regarding item #9, the amount is a little over the estimate but we can handle it. <br />Mrs. Cinco said the fire safety house was discussed but no recommendation was made; this item <br />will remain on the agenda. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Riter said they have not met since the last Council meeting. <br />Historical Society - Mr. Riter reported for Mrs. Mills: The Mayfield Township Historical <br />Society will begin its 27~' year this year. Three events have been scheduled to get funds for <br />painting the Historical House: an Ice Cream Social, Doll Show and Turkey Raffle. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Marrie said there was no report. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt said there was no meeting; no report. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt said there was no meeting; no report. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie said their next meeting will be September 24 and he would like <br />to thank all residents who spoke on behalf of the baseball fields. <br />Sewer Liaison Committee - Mr. Buckholtz said there is no report. <br />Stormwater Mgt./Drainage & Infrastructure -Mrs. Cinco asked if a meeting needs to be <br />scheduled. <br />Mr. Metzung replied not at this point. <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />S.O.M. Center Road Widening Working Committee - Mr. Metzung said John Bernot is in the <br />audience and asked if Council had any questions for him. (No one asked any questions.) Mr. <br />Metzung said the project is on schedule with the opening of the dip. We have crews working <br />from White to Highland. After this meeting we will be moving the water line. It should be done <br />by 45 a.m. Things are moving fairly smoothly. We should have a good looking waterfall by the <br />end of the week. <br />Council President Buckholtz encouraged everyone to take a look at what is being done. <br />Wage Negotiations Committee - Dr. Parker said they have met several times since the last <br />Council meeting. A number of issues have been discussed and resolved. The police contract has <br />~ been resolved but they are still working with fire and other personnel. <br />
