Much along the lines of when we stood in <br />line for the polio vaccine, if a vaccination is needed, they recommend utilizing Mayfield High <br />School. We have another meeting scheduled later this week. We will ask for volunteers in <br />running the facility if needed. This is brand new discussion; he will provide more information <br />when he receives it. <br />Parks & Recreation - Mr. Thomas said he met with Assistant Principal Beatty and finalized plans <br />for the Teen Party to beheld on December 5 at Mayfield High School. He cited the winners of <br />the 5th annual Halloween Window Painting Contest. There are 4 days left of softball. The Winter <br />brochure will be in everyone's homes within 2 weeks or so. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS" <br />Activities Committee -Mrs. Roman said there was no report. <br />Architectural Review Board -There was no report. (Mr. Samac was on vacation.) <br />Board of Appeals -There was no report. (Mr. Samac was on vacation.) <br />Cemetery -Mrs. Mills said students from the Horticulture Center worked at the Cemetery today. <br />She thanked the Service Department for installing the railings at the mausoleum. They will be a <br />great help. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board - Mr. Riter said they have not met since our last meeting. <br />Commission on Aging -Mrs. Mills read the report from Mrs. Kalina (attached.) <br />Safety and Service -Mrs. Cinco said Safety & Service met on October 13 and discussed fire hose <br />replacements-this item is under the $2,500 Mayor's spending limit so no approval was needed. <br />The roller for the Service Department was recommended to Finance and is on our agenda this <br />evening. Discussion was held on the sidewalks versus the street trees in the Aintree Park <br />neighborhood. This item was also discussed at Caucus since this has to be a policy now. Mr. <br />Metzung is looking at approximately $30,000 to do the whole neighborhood with the suggestion <br />that we put about $10,000 in for a couple years and then we will be caught up. We talked about <br />the drainage at 6733 Metro Park Drive and $2,800 was recommended by Safety & Service and <br />Finance; this was way under our budget for this year. Chief Mohr said there is a company from <br />Columbus doing driver training for fire, police and service personnel. Brief discussion was held. <br />We found out that the traffic grants that we applied for were not approved. Chief Dearden <br />explained the new program for missing children like a reverse 9-1-1. We will be participating in <br />~' the program. It is no cost to us. There will be more information coming--hopefully in the Voice <br />
