ROUGHDRAFT -NOT REVIEWED OR APPROVED BY COUNCIL <br />10-20-03 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />Page 6 <br />Second Reading of Ordinance No. 2003-33, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing <br />and directing that a portion of the funds collected from area businesses in the days after the <br />horrific events of September 11, 2001 be allocated to initiate the purchase of a fire house vehicle <br />and inviting all communities within the Mayfield School District to join in the purchase." <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. (First Reading 9/22/03) <br />Council President Buckholtz said we will leave this on second reading. <br />OPEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state <br />their name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items under <br />"Old Business" only. <br />Rick Christian, 510 S.O.M. Center Road -addressed Mr. Metzung and asked when are they <br />going to move that stuff`? <br />Mr. Metzung said it was supposed to have been done today. It was the last day so I don't know, <br />Rick. I will take them by the hand tomorrow, I promise. <br />Council President Buckholtz recognized Joe Saponaro in the audience. I have never met you; I'm <br />Bill Buckholtz. Joe is running for the Council-at-large position. Welcome to the public arena and <br />good luck with your campaign. <br />,. <br />NEW BUSINESS. <br />^ A motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $3,995 to Leonard Truck and <br />Trailer for the purchase of an 8-ton trailer for the asphalt roller. <br />Mrs. Mills noted that motion should read not to exceed. <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to authorize an expenditure not to exceed <br />$3,995 to Leonard Truck and Trailer for the purchase of an 8-ton trailer for the asphalt roller. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />^ A motion to authorize an additional expenditure in an amount not to exceed $2,000 to <br />the Walter II. Drane Company for recodification of the Village ordinances (Note: <br />$5,000 was approved by Council in July.) <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to authorize an additional expenditure in an <br />amount not to exceed $2,000 to the Walter H.
