11-17-03 <br />Regular Council Minutes <br />__ Page 6 <br />ROUGHDRAFT -NOT REVIEWED OR APPROVED BY COUNCIL <br />exploring the price of a Scout Explorer. At 3 a.m. the roads aren't always plowed. He needs to <br />replace his 1995 car. <br />Finance Committee -Mrs. Mills cited the items recommended for approval by the Finance <br />Committee: Items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Regarding item 7, the committee recommended only 3 cars so <br />the amount would be $60,000 [instead of $80,000 as on the agenda] for 3 Crown Victorias. The <br />committee also recommended items 10-14 for approval and items 15 & 16 for third reading and <br />items 17-21, for second reading of the salary ordinances. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils -Council President Buckholtz said he does not believe there was <br />a meeting. <br />Historical Society -Mrs. Mills said we had a successful Turkey Raffle on Saturday night. I think <br />we made a little bit of money. We are just about finishing up on a quilt. We will be putting our <br />Raffle Quilt on. The ladies will go out to lunch for the holidays on December 8a'. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Marrie said we met November 6. Phil Weinberg reported the current sports <br />programs are going to capacity. Floor hockey has 40 children, Flag Football has 60, gymnastics <br />needs to register 20 of their current students. They have signed up 15 new. They will do it <br />another year to see what affect the gymnastic company on Beta Drive has. The Art Show went <br />g <br />grade boys this year and have over 200 youngsters laying in the in-house leagues. (He cited the <br />breakdown.) The next meeting will be December 4t . <br />extremely well and entries were up from last year. He is also going to bring together the high <br />school students to determine the best way to expand the high school Floor Hockey Program- <br />whether to make it one lon session or back-to-back sessions. On the MBA we added the 3`d <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt said no meeting, no report. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt said Planning and Zoning met on the 10"' of this month. <br />There was one item on the agenda: the final site plan approval for Phase One of Skoda, Minotti <br />and Company's expansion. There was considerable discussion on this and it was finally <br />approved by Planning and Zoning with some conditions to address some concerns of the <br />residents on S.O.M. Center. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie said our next meeting won't be until this Wednesday. Some of <br />the things to be discussed are the Halloween Party and evaluation, upcoming special events are <br />the Big and Little Sibs Event and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad ride for the holidays. <br />Also for the Christmas Parry (December 20.) Just a reminder, the Santa Claus route changed. Just <br />listen for the sirens. If any residents of Mayfield are interested to serve on the Recreation Board, <br />we would like to hear from them. <br />Sewer Liaison Committee -Council President Buckholtz said no report. <br />. _ ' Stormwater Management -Mrs. Cinco said no meeting this month. <br />
