Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, February 15, 2010 <br />Page 10 <br />Roll Call: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Bid of B&C Communications Accepted <br />Expenditure Approved <br />Motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of $110,900.98 to Bureau of <br />Workers' Compensation for yearly assessments. <br />Mr. Saponaro, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to authorize expenditure in the amount of <br />$110,900.98 to Bureau of Workers' Compensation for yearly assessments. <br />Mr. Wynne explained that this is the annual premium required to the State. It is based upon <br />payroll dollars from the previous year. We are part of a pool rating program with the Ohio <br />Municipal League which gets us a discounted rate. Based upon the experience of that group and <br />the experience of last year, our discount more than doubled. This $110,000.00 is $162,000.00 <br />less than what we spent last year. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Expenditure Authorized <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 2010-06, entitled, "An Emergency Ordinance <br />authorizing and directing the Mayor to enter into a partnership agreement among the <br />communities of the Euclid Creek Watershed Council in accordance with the <br />Memorandum of Understanding between the Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation <br />District and the Euclid Creek Watershed Council." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and <br />Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Saponaro, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2010-06. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Mrs. Mills, Mr. Saponaro, Motion Carried <br />Mr. Marrie, Dr. Parker Ordinance Enacted <br />NAYS: Mr. Marquardt <br />With regard to Euclid Creek, Dr. Parker asked that some of the comments made in Finance be <br />highlighted relating to how we would like to see those dollars affect our bottom line in terms of <br />reducing certain staff time and such if we can in any areas possible. <br />Mr. Metzung stated, as we discussed at Finance, taking credit for things that they are doing and <br />not forcing us to do it on our own. It would be hard to quantify. Certainly we could not dicta.te
