Regular Council Meeting Minutes
11-15-10
Page 6
Mr. Marrelli replied, oh, yes. Absolutely. Well, let me just go back for a second. There were
people parked in the fire lane. I mean, that's just, you know -
Council President Buckholtz stated, not going to happen.
Mr. Marrelli replied, right. Here again we went back to the Conference Center and said, you
have to control where they're going and if you've ever tried to contro1200-300 cars, good luck.
But that's the kind of thing we're letting them know. They have to control it. They have to
manage it. They have to coordinate between their tenants and we are on top of it and watching it
trying to help them to get a grip on it. I don't believe we're going to have much problem in the
future. I still say there's enough parking depending on how they book their events and how they
control and steer and direct the patrons.
Council President Buckholtz replied, okay. Good.
Dr. Parker asked, do they have land, I can't recall whether they were made to have some land
banked or not? I thought they did.
Mr. Marrelli replied, they might have 7 spaces land banked. They did have about 40 or 50 land
banked and they chose to pave it. So, they're paved out. Plus they have 130 spots next door.
Dr. Parker stated, okay. Thank you. ?
Council President Buckholtz asked Mr. Marrelli if he had anything else to report. Mr. Marrelli
did not.
ENGINEERING - Tom Canpello
There was no report.
LEGAL DEPARTMENT - Mr. Diemert
There was no report.
FIRE - Chief Mohr
Chief Mohr reported, for the audience and Council, the training house which is the Stabile
property at 691 SOM Center, in two weeks, fire departments throughout Cuyahoga County will
be in this facility to train on Friday, December 3rd and Monday, December 6th. We are going to
burn the house down on Tuesday, December 7th
