Regular Council Meeting Minutes 11-15-10 Page 8 STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: Activities Committee - Mrs. Mills reported that our last meeting was October 19th. At that time we discussed the different activities that will be happening in December. The first will be the Menorah Lighting on the lst at 7:00 in the Community. Room. The next will be the Santa Ride through the Village and the children's party on the 4th. On the Sth we will have the Tree Lighting at the Gazebo at 7:00 p.m. The Singing Angels will be here on the 18th at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for that go on sale on the 18th of this month. Our next meeting will be after the first of the year when we will be talking about the Spring and Summer events. Architectural Review Board - Mr. Marrelli reported that there was no meeting, so there's no report. Beautification Committee - Mr. Saponaro reported that we had our meeting at the end of October. Our next meeting is November 30th. We did discuss Raleigh Drive and in response to concerns some of the residents had regarding the new reconfigured Raleigh Drive, Service did plant 7 evergreens as Mr. Metzung has stated. We appreciate that. We also received from Tom Cappello through Service a rendering of the Village to determine where the hanging baskets and flowers have been in the past. We are in the process of evaluating that. We know that we are going to cut down on the number of them. We have a group of folks that are out there looking at different places right now to see who will bid this for us. Those are the two main projects we have going with Beautification at this time. Board of Appeals - Mr. Marrelli reported that there was no meeting. There is no report. There is a meeting tomorrow night here at 7:30. Cemete"rv - Mrs. Mills stated that there was no report. Citizen's Advisorv - Mr. Marrie reported that Citizen's Advisory will be meeting tomorrow evening at 7:00 in Civic Hall. Commission on Aging - Mrs. Kalina reported that the Commission on Aging met on October 26 . We went over the details for the Halloween Party for the Card Group and plans for the Holiday Party for the Seniors. Our next meeting is December 30t1'. Safety and Service - Mrs. Cinco reported that Safety and Service met on Monday, November 1 St. At that time we approved and passed on to Finance the purchase of the upgrade to the audiorecording system for the Police Department and the purchase of three 2011 Ford Crown Victoria police cars. They are on the agenda tonight for approval. We discussed the Senior Snow Removal program. We discussed road salt for Winter 2010-2011. That was approved at our Special Meeting. The demolition of 691 SOM as we heard from the Fire Chief will take place in December.
