Regular Council Meeting <br />3/21/OS <br />Page 5 <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt said I was at a birthday party and unable attend so you <br />must ask John Marrelli to report on the Workshop. Mr. Marrelli said I was in school but I read <br />minutes and the culmination of the Workshop is our June business: The Claims Service Center <br />and Velocity Sports are upcoming. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie said the Recreation Board met March 17. (I was not there.) <br />There was a lot of planning for the spring party and egg hunt. Mr. Thomas said there were 175 <br />children. Mr. Marrie said there have never been so many children in the room. It was a great <br />party. <br />Mr. Thomas said we had the school reserved in case the weather was bad. <br />Mr. Marrie said we took the children out one age group at a time and that stopped some of the <br />mayhem on the lawn with all of them out there at one time. It was a great party. <br />Mr. Thomas said we had "Guess the number of jellybeans and chocolate eggs." Two separate <br />families were within 4 jellybeans and chocolate eggs of the actual count. We also covered the <br />summer Parks & Recreation Brochure in length. For 9 years and younger, we looking at giving <br />trophies for all participants. It has been done at other places and has been well received. For <br />those 10 and older, only the winners will receive trophies. The next meeting will be Apri120. <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />2020 Vision Committee - Mr. Saponaro said 2020 had a public meeting thatiwas held on <br />February 22. Approximately 75 people attended. After Mayor Rinker spoke, there was a <br />presentation by Paul Volpe and Michelle Bandy Zalatoris of City Architecture. They put on a <br />slide presentation of the work that they have done and how tliey are going to approach our vision <br />here by implementing our 2020 Vision Plan. It was a great meeting. We do not have a 2020 <br />meeting planned as of this date but as soon as it gets on the calendar, we will put a notice out. <br />Information & TechnoloQV - Mr. Marrie said the information and technology end of it is pretty <br />well wrapped up for the first section of our move to the Civic Center. Our next meeting will be <br />on March 28 to go further into where we are going with that building and with the technology in <br />the Village. <br /> <br />Council President Buckholtz said I would like to move the OPENPORTIONto the beginning of <br />OLD BUSINESS and said if anyone has any comments on Old Business, you are welcome to do so. <br />There were no comments. <br />Third Readint! of Ordinance No. 2005-01, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing and <br />directing the Mayor to enter into a license agreement with the Mayfield Board of Education as an <br />d <br />for the right to construct, maintain, patrol and use certain property for an all pu ose non-vehicula <br />rp r <br />public hiking and biking trail and related purposes." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as <br />a Whole. (First Reading 1/24/05; Second Reading 2/21/05.)
