Regular Council Minutes <br />5/16/OS <br />Page 14 <br />Council President Buckholtz said Ordinance 2005-18 is to be given first reading tonight; this <br />hasn't gone out or anything yet? <br />Mr. Brett said it is still in gestation. <br />Council President Buckholtz asked, is there anything that you can say about it? <br />Mr. Brett said it would be premature at this point. <br />Council President Buckholtz said okay. But we are aware of the conditions that we were setting <br />forth in terms of their providing for--- <br />Mr. Diemert said I think it is okay for us to say in anticipation of the next ordinance that all of <br />the Council's concerns about the financing of our efforts and the reimbursement from <br />Progressive of all the costs are agreed on. That part is done and over and agreed upon. The parts <br />still being discussed relate to structuring the development itself in a way financially acceptable to <br />all parties. <br />Mr. Marquardt asked, is it unlimited? <br />Mr. Diemert said the cost will have a cap that we will know about. But they will pay everything <br />up to the point of withdrawal including the other side's attorney'.s fees and costs if necessary if <br />we choose to withdraw. <br />Council President Buckholtz said we will leave that on a first read knowing that it is moving <br />along well. <br />Ordinance 2005-18 given first reading. <br />First Readin2 of Ordinance No. 2005-19, entitled; "An emergency ordinance to appropriate a fee <br />simple interest in and to the premises located at 500 S.O.M. Center Road and known as permanent <br />parcel no. 831-09-005 to further the public purposes of Economic Development and the <br />conservation of natural resources in the Village." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as <br />a Whole. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2005-19. <br />Council President Buckholtz said most of this was just covered in terms of the- <br /> <br /> <br />
