DRAFT
Council6/20/OS
Page 5
Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt advised they met on June 14, 2005. There were
three proposals discussed. One was on residential rubbish regulations; the second one was on
annoying vehicle sound systems and the third one was a fire inspection fee schedule ordinance.
All three items needed more information and they will be discussed at the next meeting.
Planning and Zonin? - Mr. Marquardt advised there was no meeting and no report.
Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie advised that as he mentioned earlier, Mr. Thomas is out and his
comments were that Parkview Pool opened the week of June 9, 2005 and that week was one of
the hottest in a long time. Mr. Marrie advised the impeller for the pool pump, which they
discussed at Caucus, was replaced on Friday, June 17, 2005. There was no interruption in the
pool schedule. Mr. Marrie advised that they still needed to talk about it further, as far as
replacement goes. Mr. Marrie believes that Mr. Thomas is discussing this with Mr. Metzung and
others for recommendations. Sports & More Camp has 159 campers signed up and in the Junior
Camp, there is 80; kick ball has 24 participants and sand volley ball has 8 teams. The horse back
riding clinics for the children, there are 12 riders and the Recreation Board, Mr. Bill Thomas and
Mrs. Danielle Echt, will be working on the fall brochure. One other comment from Mr. Thomas
to President Buckholtz, he will be discussing with you about the pool parking, that one that was
instituted for five-minute pick-up and drop off. There are some problems, not major ones, that
he would like to discuss with you. Mr. Buckholtz advised he would call Mr. Thomas about that.
Cp;?riT?dAaT ??rl.lilVitMTTTT-Ul473i?i p[gl!i24 ';C
2020 Vision Committee - There hasn't been a meeting since the last one that was reported on.
Mr. Jochum from the audience advised he had a call into the city architecture and will schedule a
meeting after that sometime. Mr. Jochum advised they were getting the survey done. Mayor
Rinker said he didn't think they had the results back from it, they only started it about two weeks
ago.
Information & Technologv - Mr. Marrie advised they met on May 23, 2005, as he commented
in the earlier meeting and recommended that we continue to use Mr. Ron Davis from Tec-On-
Call for work in the Civic Center, basically the work on computer technology. We will work
with him on an "as needed" basis, we will not hire him as a Village employee; Mr. Davis will not
have a desk or an office. Mr. Marrie also advised they had recommended very strongly that Mr.
Davis is our point man on all future requests for any type of IT type of equipment or IT systems,
computers, phones, printers, programs, etc. Mr. Marrie said with Council approval or the
Mayor's approval, the requests go to Mr. Davis and tie them together so we can keep on going in
the same direction instead of each department going their own way. After the requests are
qualified and justified, they will be placed with the proper committees for approval. Mr. Davis
will also keep a current inventory of all usable equipment that we have in the Village so we can
