He has talked to the Contractor. <br />Anything he or the Village can do to help move the project along we will do. <br />Mayor Rinker said they should be putting up signage announcing ahead of time that the bridge <br />will be closed. He asked if Mr. Metzung knew when they will post that. <br />Mr. Metzung said they will begin that about June 5. <br />Mayor Rinker said we will notify the residents prior to that. He questioned their completion <br />date. <br />Mr. Metzung said October 31 is their completion date. It is such a small area that they will be <br />reluctant to reopen the road until they are completed. <br />Mayor Rinker asked about any feedback from Highland Heights. <br />Mr. Cappello said Steve Hovancsek attended a pre-construction meeting and sent copies of the <br />minutes to Highland Heights; they have not gotten any feedback. <br />Mr. Metzung will be in contact with Greg Dolence of Progressive. <br />Chief Mohr said they have completed a very successful prom program with the school regarding <br />the crash. We are also working with the American Heart Association doing blood pressures for <br />stroke awareness week. Anybody in the Village can come to the Fire Station to have a blood <br />pressure screemng. <br />Mr. Thomas cited the breakdown of the softball teams. A total of 232 youths are enrolled. The <br />14-18 softball has increased by two teams and the Men's League has increased by 6 teams. <br />There is a new bocce league with 4 teams. Parkview Pool will open June 9. Over 60 children <br />have signed up for Junior Camp. We are closing in at 130 youths for the Sports `n More Camp. <br />Fifty-three children have signed up for each of the two sessions of Teen Adventure Camp (which <br />wasn't offered last year.) We had anticipated having 20 kids in each of the sessions. The Teen <br />Pool House Rock will occur June 15 with a rain date of June 22. Two excursions are planned- <br />to Cedar Point and Whitewater Rafting. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Activities Committee - Mayor Rinker said the Pancake Breakfast was very successful. <br />Mrs. Roman expressed thanks to everyone who volunteered and said the Committee will be <br />seeking volunteers for 50's Cruise Night. We are also making plans for the Fourth of July to be <br />held on June 3 0.
