Mayor Rinker and Mr. Brett
were present and answered questions and discussed the possibilities for the Methodist Church
property. Per Jim Mason, the Advisory Board is anxious to get involved in the planning for the
Village. They hope to meet with Jim Farmer and hopefully develop a plan and a master plan to
include recreation and bike walkways. Rob Jamieson reported about solid waste and recycling.
They also discussed drainage and infrastructure, the street repair program and extension of the
sidewalk to Echo Drive. Their next meeting will be June 25.
Commission on Aging - Mr. Busa asked Mrs. Cinco to read the report from Mrs. Kalina. (See
attached.)
Drainage and Infrastructure - Mrs. Cinco said the Committee met the first Thursday of this
month. They approved expediting the Hanover Woods project which is on the agenda this
evening. It went through Safety and Service and Finance and Council will be voting on it
tonight. She thinks Council is aware of the.need to expedite that project because of the ,
possibility of building a new home there. The Committee also approved the Hickory Hill
project. We are in need of two residents to seive on that Committee. She asked Mayor Rinker
or Council to let the Mayor or a member of the Committee know.
Safetv and Service - Mrs. Cinco said the Committee met May 7. We discussed the painting of
Village Hall and the tile work at pool snack bar; both items were forwarded to the Finance
Committee. We received information on the COPS grant. That is one we would like to see
passed tonight. The Committee recommended approval of the armored transport vehicle for
S.P.A.N. The Service Department would like approval for the bid for street striping. The
Hanover Court drainage construction and the road program were discussed. The next meeting
will be held the first Thursday in June.
Finance Committee - Mr. Ilacqua said he will report in Dr. Parker's absence. The Committee
recommended approval of agenda items #1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Regarding item #6, payments to
umpires, he had discussed this with Mr. Thomas. (Mr. Thomas has rolled the umpire fees into
the player's fees so it will be a net wash.) As related to Teen Adventure Camp, we should be
making money off the enrollment. Both items 6 and 7 are a wash; the Committee recommends
approval. They also recommend approval of itein #8 with a changed amount: $14,895. They
recommend approval of item #9. They decided to defer action on item #10 (the armored vehicle)
